As of app version 7.8.0, clients are now able to generate grocery lists from their meal plans. This feature is available to all our customers on any paid plan.

Enabling Grocery Lists

In order for your clients to see their grocery list, first you need to assign a meal plan to them. If your client already has a meal plan assigned to them, then you don't need to do anything else. The feature will be enabled for them. However, if you don't have a meal plan assigned to them, then you must make one. Please follow this article if you need any help.

Once you've assigned a meal plan, your client can then just open the mobile app and go to the Diary section and tap on the "Grocery Shopping List" button as shown below:

Here are the things you can do in the grocery list screen:

  • Change the date range (the client can choose any date range they like using our handy calendar)

  • Change the serving amount for the meals. For example, some meals are created for say 4 people but the client is actually only wanting to shop for 1 person. They can set the serving size to 1 and that will auto calculate all the ingredient amounts accordingly

  • Select or deselect meals from the grocery list. Clients are able to see the meals they've got in any time period (next week, next 10 days...). When deselecting a meal, the ingredients will be recalculated automatically.

  • Check/uncheck ingredients from the list (just tap on an ingredient to cross it off the list)


  • The ingredients are split into categories to make it easier to read and buy

  • The ingredients measurements depend on the meal itself. In this example we are using grams but the meal can use ounces/lbs/cups or any other measurement available.
